The future of mobility is coming to Detroit
Technology in Motion (TIM) is a three-day exhibition and conference highlighting the future of mobility and the city of Detroit. TIM will bring together manufacturers, suppliers and the tech community to establish the preeminent transportation technology and mobility event in Detroit. Tech advancements in autonomous and electric vehicles, connected cars, mobility solutions, and digital consumer experience are just a few of the areas that will be featured at TIM 2017.
Autonomous Vehicles | TIM is collaborating with the Detroit Moves festival, staged in downtown Detroit and showcasing innovative mobility technology being designed and produced in Michigan. The festival is open to the public and will include ride-alongs in Level II autonomous cars.
Product Launches | Various exhibitors will host press events on the first day of the exhibition to reveal new products or services.
Pitch Competition | Watch and have the opportunity to apply for consideration to participate in the four separate technology competitions that will take place over the first two days of the event. The competitions will be in four separate categories (connectivity, mobility solutions, autonomous/electrical, and consumer experience).
Startup Village | TIM startup exhibitors will have an opportunity to show their technology/innovations to the many OEMs and tier 1 and 2 supplier engineers, IT, technology, and C-suite executives in addition to many venture capital groups.
Hackathon | Our two-day TIM Hackathon will bring together creative minds, developers and innovators to solve challenges in four key areas: Autonomous & Electric Vehicles, Connected Cars, Mobility Solutions, and Digital Consumer Experience.
STEM Careers Showcase | The event will bring together those currently working in STEM careers and companies that utilize STEM professionals along with students, parents and educators to enable sharing of information through our STEM Village, expert presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on experiences.

Autonomous/Electric Vehicles | Sponsored by Alix Partners, this track will include sub-topics such as dealer view of the future, government view of needed regulations (NHTSA/Cyber Security), government view of infrastructure needs, and winners and losers.
Mobility Solutions | Sponsored by Deloitte, this track will include sub-topics like dealer view on their fit in the shared world, city planners and what is needed, how to pick the winners and losers, and reshaping of ride sharing over the next 10 years.
Digital Consumer Experience | Sponsored by MSX International and Marketing Associates, this track will include subtopics such as online selling, future inventory management, and digital connection to customers.
Connected Cars | This track will include sub-topics like dealer view for present day retailing opportunities, government view on privacy and data sharing in the future, OEM opportunities and responsibilities to customers, and life-improving opportunities through technological advancement.
